It was quick and easy to install, fits solid and feels as sturdy as any other Otter Box product.

Bought Otterbox thinking it will last. The rubber port protection started to break in less than 3 months and now it is completely broken. Amazon only offers to refund but I would prefer to have a replacement since i am using it daily and aside from the flap i like the case overall. the refund also doesn’t cover the cost if I want to buy it again on Amazon as I bought it for 29 AUD but Amazon is selling it for 48 AUD. The reason being below.
“As per checking the item is sold by global store on our website. In this case, we are unable to replace it because we do not have the inventory of the item.”
Even though the listing says “In Stock”

I was disappointed to see that OtterBox didn’t make a Defender case for the Google Pixel 6a. But other brands didn’t offer much either according to reviews. After buying several cheaper cases since my first OtterBox years ago, I decided to go with the Commuter. The silicone/rubber material has plenty of give to absord as much if not more of the impact than even the off-brand defender cases I’ve used. With the plastic outer shell to distribute the energy of a drop or blow across a wide surface area, and the flexible material to act as a buffer, the plastic battery cover on the phone itself will be well-protected from every day wear or even mild abuse in my opinion. The plastic outer shell is not grippy, but there is enough silicone/rubber material for the hands to interface with. It does not include a built-in plastic screen protector which to me is a plus. I just remove them for a tempered glass one anyway. This case doesn’t interfere with the tempered glass screen protector that I installed, however it does go over the camera lens screen protector I added to the other side of the phone. It still fits, but leaves a small space on two sides where debris can get in. Not a deal breaker for me. Lastly, it doesn’t come with a belt clip so its safest either in a pocket or facedown on a flat surface.

I’ve tried plenty of cases and am typically disappointed with their durability. I finally decided to spend a little more and get an otterbox. I am totally pleased with how its held up and how well it fits the phone. Worth every penny!

I’ve been using this case for about 3 weeks and it’s very light, very comfortable easy to fit in my
pocket and after a car crash I can confirm that it is very durable. I was going 35 mph through an intersection and had a green light when someone struck me from the turning lane in an almost head on collision. My phone was between my legs sitting on the car seat and it was launched forward and ended up jammed under the break pedal covered in broken glass. Not a single scratch and my phone is working perfectly fine, I’m actually writing this review from it. I was able to make calls to my family and let them know I was alive because of this case. I’ll be buying otterboxes in the future. You guys earned a life long customer.

Otterbox seems to have set the standard for smart phone protection. And, they’ve maintained it. I still won’t use anything less to protect my phone. I really like the defender series, but the commuter works well too. Both seem to isolate the phone from falls, and unless you drop it so that the point of impact is on the screen, you are generally pretty safe from damage. Now, apparently Otterbox knows they are top dog, and they charge a princely sum for their product. It’s really hard to find a ‘deal’ of any sort on them. That being said, if you have a $500+ smart phone, you may as well spend 5-10% more to protect it from when you drop it. And you will drop it.
I don’t drop my phone a lot, but when I do, It’s nice to know it’s protected about as best as money can buy.

I tried going with a cheaper case, always felt like the first time I dropped my phone I was going to regret not having a better case, so I remedied that the next day lol.
This is sleek and has a perfect fit. The majority of the outer case is plastic rather than rubber like I’m used to with Otter Box cases, but it works. It has a raises edge around the screen, a nice deep recessed area for the camera, and a snug closing section for the charging port.
10/10 Highly recommend!

Nothing frilly about this case. It’s easy to take on and off. It protects my device. It looks good and doesn’t add extra bulk to my phone. I wish it came in more color options though.
