Upon receiving this bike from UPS, the box was heavily damaged. I don’t blame UPS or Amazon but the manufacturer for this. Their box and packaging cuts quite a few corners. Overall, I didn’t have a difficult time putting this together but the instructions are laughable and really just confuse you more than they help. Would it have killed them to include a decent instruction sheet and perhaps an Allen wrench? I didn’t have the right size and that was quite frustrating.
Anyway, bike looks good and seems of decent quality. Hopefully it stands the test of time.

Please see my picture to obtain the lowest seating position without modification. Basically, you just need to tap the seat post so it goes down after securing the seat brace (arc)! Now, the product specification is still wrong, daughter is 4’2 and her tippy toes shoes barely touch the ground so she has to wait a bit before she can ride this bike comfortably. Seat brace (the arc) should be drilled in different positions to allow adjustment. However, I’m still giving this bike a 5 stars because I got mine from amazon warehouse with the damaged box but everything is intact. Kudos to Amazon!

No hand brakes to come loose and fall off, more comfortable than straight handlebars. Easy to ride.

I bought this bike for my daughter because it was a throwback to the bike that I had growing up as a child. I had a Schwinn Stingray back in the 70s and was happy to see that the model style was still available.
I chose this model because my daughter is a bit taller than the average child and she did not do that well with the BMX-style bike she had before this one.
The bike arrived in a box that was slightly damaged but I figured that’s what happens in transit. All the parts were there and as you can tell from the picture the rear fender was damaged a little bit-but that seems to be what’s happening with all of these bikes if you look at the other reviews and pictures.
Beyond that, I did have to go through a store-bought pair of training wheels that were not long enough, but I did find a pair on Amazon that work perfectly.
My daughter loves the color of the bike & I was able to find a helmet that matched perfectly. Her learning has increased and she enjoys riding the bike – even with the falls she inevitably takes – and has already asked to remove the training wheels!
Schwinn makes a GREAT, sturdy product and I am glad to pass on my bike riding tradition to My Kids.

This bike is adorable. The colors are perfect. It is difficult to see how cute it is until you see it in person. It is a beautiful bike!

Nice looking bike, it reminds me of the 70’s when the Stingrays were in style. My Granddaughter genuinely loves it.
It does have some issues you may want to know about though. If you’re not handy with tools you might need to pass on this bike, or bring it to a bike shop before the kids get on it.
First – THERE WAS ZERO GREASE in any of the bearings, including the crank, both wheels and the steering tube. No grease means NO grease, the bike will not last more than a month at best like this. The bearings were very rough and “growling”. All these areas need to be pulled apart, greased and reassembled. You Tube has some good instructional videos on this.
Second – it came with a dented rear fender and the box was badly damaged, just like some of the other reviews reported. I called Schwinn and they replaced the fenders quickly, however, they said they didn’t have the same color (white) fenders that came on the bike and they would have to send pink ones. The replacement fenders are a different color pink than anything else on the bike and even the replacement fenders themselves are two different shades of pink. This means I either need to straighten and repaint the damaged area on the original fender, or paint the new one white.
Third – The rear tire is out of round, it is sufficient for a youngster to ride but that’s not the point.
But other than that it is a great bike. Enjoy 🙂
It’s amazing that Schwinn would send out brand new products in this condition, they used to be some of the best bikes around. I gave it a high value for money rating because my granddaughter likes it so much.
